What is Livara Chat?
Livara is a free private messenger for web and Android, with end-to-end encrypted direct messages and private groups, calls, files, voice notes, and optional AI features.
Do I need a phone number?
No. Create an account with a username and password. You do not need to connect a phone number to start a conversation.
What is end-to-end encrypted?
Direct messages and private-group text, edits, photos, files, and voice notes are sealed on your device. Public broadcast channels are readable by design, and the server retains routing metadata needed for delivery and synchronization.
Can I use Livara on web and Android?
Yes. Open the web messenger in your browser or download the Android APK. Android also includes group calling rooms, app lock, and a wake-word assistant.
Are the AI features optional?
Yes. AI features are consent-based, with on-device processing by default. Explore personalization can use manual interests or local inference, or you can decline it.
How do I verify the Android download?
Visit the Proof Lab to hash your downloaded APK locally and compare it with the published SHA-256 checksum. The lab also lets you try cryptographic primitives in your browser.
